Phin Brewing Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Phin
Place the phin filter on top of a glass.
Pour a small amount of hot water to rinse and warm the filter.
Step 2: Loosen the Coffee Grounds
Use a spoon to stir the coffee grounds before measuring them into the phin.
Step 3: Measure the Coffee
Add 25g of coffee (≈ 3 teaspoons) into the filter chamber.
Gently tap the phin to level the surface.
Place the chamber on top of the phin base.
Insert the press (filter disc) and adjust lightly.
Step 4: Bloom the Coffee
Pour a small amount of hot water for blooming:
Bottom bloom:5ml
Top bloom: 25ml
Let the coffee bloom for 1 minute.
Use the phin lid to gently scrape the bottom of the chamber to remove fine grounds.
Place the phin back on the cup.
Step 5: Extraction
Pour hot water directly onto the center of the press.
Cover with the lid.
Allow **6–8 minutes** for full extraction.
You will get **50ml of brewed coffee**.
Enjoy: Add sugar or milk to taste.
